Important Microblading Information
All semi-permanent make-up (SMPU) procedures, including microblading, are multi-session processes.
The final result of any SMPU will be achieved no earlier than 6 weeks for first treatment.
At least one touch up is absolutely necessary to reach the final result. Without at least one touch up procedure, your treatment will not be complete. Touch up appointments must be scheduled for 2 weeks from initial treatment.
SMPU procedure results depend heavily on your skin type, lifestyle and how closely you follow the aftercare instructions.
If your skin is sun damaged, thick, uneven in texture, oily and/or if you are over 50 years old, the results may not be perfect after the first touch up treatment heals. If this would be the case, you may find you need to book in for an additional touch up appointment.
Furthermore, if you have oily skin, the final results may not be as good as the results on a normal skin type.
Be prepared for the colour intensity of your procedure to be significantly larger, sharper, brighter or darker than what is expected for the final outcome. This is a time consuming transition and it depends on how quickly the outer layer of skin exfoliates.
While the ink pigments may initially simulate the exact colour and tone desired, it will not always remain perfect.
Although the pigment tones are constant in colour and density, the final colour tones on your skin will vary in time depending on exposure to cold, heat, sun and circulatory changes.
The facial skin tissue is one of the thinnest on the human body. Since delicate skin or sensitive areas may swell slightly or redden, some clients feel it best not to make any social plans for two or three days following the treatment.
It is also important to point out that washing the treated area for three full days is prohibited as soap, hard water and rubbing will dislodge ink pigments after a fresh procedure, mostly unevenly, which will also significantly and irreversibly shorten the lifespan and overall result of the treatment.
If you wash, pick or touch the area with your fingers during the first three days, there is a high chance of infection within the treated area. I also do not recommend make-up on or around the area for 6 days.
Microblading treatments are applied as little as 2mm below the skin surface, that is why separate facial treatments or activities that would accelerate normal skin loss cycle such as but not limited to; steam sessions, facials, sunbathing, sunbeds, chlorine from pools or hot tubs, anti-ageing creams, exfoliation creams, will definitely effect the pigment amount, colour, intensity and definition negatively, regardless of when they are performed.
If you are using circulatory medication, pregnant, nursing, diabetic, have HIV or Hepatitis A, B or C, will have an MRI scan in 4 months, allergic to tattoos or are under 16 years of age, I can not treat you.
After your first treatment, I will provide you with documents explaining post treatment aftercare and what to expect for the following 6 weeks.
Please read through these and follow them carefully as failing to do so will shorten the lifespan of your treatment drastically and decrease the quality of your final results irreversibly.
